What is included in this 10kW hybrid solar kit?

The kit includes one Growatt SPH 10000TL-HU-US inverter, 27 Canadian Solar 450W panels, a solar-panel-to-inverter cable set, a Wi-Fi module, manuals and warranty documentation. Batteries, a generator, mounting and installation are not included.

Why pair 12.15kW of panels with a 10kW inverter?

Panels rarely produce their full rated power all day. The larger solar array helps make better use of the inverter during weaker sunlight. In strong sunshine, AC output remains limited to the inverter's 10kW rating.

How should the 27 solar panels be connected?

The proposed layout is three strings of nine panels connected in series, with each string connected to its own MPPT. Final installation still requires the site-specific cold-voltage and inverter input-current checks.

Are the Canadian Solar 450W panels bifacial?

No. This package uses TOPHiKu6 All-Black CS6.1-54TM-450H panels with a polymer backsheet. The 27 panels provide 12,150W of rated solar capacity without rear-side generation.

Are these panels suitable for Canadian weather?

They are designed for demanding outdoor conditions, with a panel operating range of -40°C to +85°C. Published snow and wind load ratings depend on the manufacturer's mounting requirements. Your roof and racking must suit local conditions; snow cover and shorter winter days reduce production.

Are batteries included?

No. This is a solar-panel and hybrid-inverter package. Ask ROCKSOLAR to recommend a compatible battery bank for the appliances you want to run and the backup time you need.

Will the kit keep my home running during a blackout?

Yes—when paired with a suitably sized compatible battery bank. The Growatt inverter’s built-in automatic transfer switch changes to backup power when the grid fails, so no separate transfer switch is needed for its supported backup configuration. Batteries are sold separately. Which appliances stay powered and for how long depend on your battery capacity, available sunlight and the circuits connected for backup.

Can I use this system off-grid?

The SPH inverter supports off-grid applications when configured with suitable energy sources and installation equipment. For reliable day-and-night operation, plan a compatible battery bank and consider a generator for extended low-sun periods. Neither is included in this kit.

Which batteries can I add?

The SPH uses low-voltage batteries within its specified 40–60V range. Choose a model approved for this inverter, with suitable communication and enough continuous discharge capacity for your loads. Do not assume every 48V battery is compatible.

Can I connect a generator?

Yes. The inverter supports charging from a compatible generator. A generator is sold separately and must be correctly sized and connected for your installation. Ask ROCKSOLAR for guidance; detailed wiring and settings belong in the installation manual.

Can I expand the system later?

Yes. Compatible batteries can add stored energy for evening use or backup, and additional solar panels may increase generation within the inverter's limits. If you need more AC power, ask ROCKSOLAR about a properly designed multi-inverter system rather than simply adding panels.

Does this kit provide three-phase power?

This one-inverter package is intended for 120/240V split-phase applications. Three-phase service requires a separate manufacturer-supported multi-inverter design; it is not supplied by this single-inverter kit.

Is rapid shutdown included?

The inverter datasheet lists Tigo/APsmart transmitter support, but panel-level rapid-shutdown devices are not listed in this package's included items. Ask ROCKSOLAR to specify the compatible devices and any other required equipment for your installation before ordering.

How much space do the panels need?

Each panel measures approximately 1.8m by 1.134m. All 27 panels cover about 55.1 square metres and weigh 621kg before mounting hardware. Allow extra room for spacing, access and required setbacks, and have the structure checked.

Is Wi-Fi monitoring included?

Yes. A Wi-Fi module is included for monitoring. You will need suitable internet coverage and to complete the system's monitoring setup.

What warranty applies?

The supplied Growatt SPH datasheet states a 10-year inverter warranty. Panel product and power-performance warranties have separate terms. Ask ROCKSOLAR for the warranty documents applicable to the exact equipment and installation location; a performance warranty is not a guarantee of fixed daily production.

Can I install the kit myself?

You can plan the project and complete work you are qualified and permitted to do. Electrical installation, grid connection and inspections must meet local and utility requirements. This is not a plug-in appliance; arrange the necessary qualified work and approvals.

Will it reduce my electricity bill?

Solar energy can reduce the electricity you buy while your home is using power. Savings depend on sunlight, roof layout, usage and electricity rates. Grid export and any credits require utility approval; this kit does not guarantee incentive or net-metering eligibility.
