Generate solar electricity for your home with the ROCKSOLAR 3.8kW grid-tie solar kit. It pairs a Growatt MIN 3800TL-XH-US inverter with ten Canadian Solar 450W TOPHiKu6 All-Black panels, giving you 4.5kW of rated solar capacity.

This is a grid-connected equipment package, not a complete installed system or an included outage-backup system. Battery storage and compatible backup equipment are sold separately.

Use Solar Power While Staying Connected

The inverter converts solar electricity for use through your home's electrical system. Your utility supplies additional power when needed. Exporting surplus energy or joining a net-metering program requires your utility's approval and applicable equipment and metering. Savings depend on your location, roof, electricity use and rate plan.

The 4.5kW panel rating and 3.8kW inverter rating describe different parts of the system. Actual production varies with sunlight, temperature, shading and season, and AC output is limited by the inverter.

Canadian Solar Panels for Demanding Conditions

The CS6.1-54TM-450H panels feature an all-black front, N-type TOPCon cells and 22.0% module efficiency. They are non-bifacial, with no advertised rear-side power bonus. Their specified operating range is −40°C to +85°C, with snow loads up to 8,100 Pa and wind loads up to 6,000 Pa under the manufacturer's specified mounting conditions.

These panel ratings do not replace roof and mounting design. Snow cover and shorter winter days reduce generation. The inverter has its own temperature limits and a NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosure; its installation must follow the Growatt manual.

Battery-Ready Does Not Mean Backup Included

You can plan a future upgrade using an approved battery system and the backup equipment required for the exact inverter version. This is not a standard 48V battery connection. As supplied without that upgrade, the kit does not provide power during a utility outage. Confirm the inverter version and approved equipment combination before ordering storage or backup accessories.

Rapid-shutdown completion check: the Tigo devices require a compatible RSS transmitter and correctly configured shutdown system. Confirm the transmitter, exact device ratings and inverter compatibility in the written supply scope; the module devices alone are not a complete rapid-shutdown system.

Additional items may be required: racking, breakers, disconnects, conduit, grounding, compatible rapid-shutdown transmitter equipment, metering and other site-specific materials. Battery storage, backup equipment, labour and permits are not included unless expressly quoted.

Plan Your Installation

Each panel measures approximately 1800 × 1134 × 35mm and weighs 23kg. Your installer must check roof space, structure, utility connection and final electrical design.

Before finalizing panel wiring, confirm the supplied inverter's PV current limits and approved panel pairing. The panel datasheet lists 13.66A operating current. The inverter datasheet lists a 13.5A input limit per MPPT, while the supplied manual lists 12.5A for this model family. Confirm the rating and approved panel pairing for the exact inverter supplied; current limiting may affect output. Final installation still requires the site-specific cold-voltage and inverter input-current checks.
