Collection: Solar Well Pumps

A solar well pump lifts water from a well, pond or cistern using solar panels, with no grid connection or generator. Our brushless DC submersible pumps run from 0.4 HP to 4 HP and are sold on their own or as complete kits with panels and a controller, for livestock watering, irrigation, cottages and off-grid homes.

How to choose a solar well pump

1. Total head: the vertical distance from the water level to the highest delivery point, plus pipe friction. Deep wells need more horsepower.
2. Daily water needed: a beef cow drinks roughly 40–80 litres a day in summer; a household uses far more. Size the pump so it delivers your daily volume in about 5–6 hours of sun.
3. Well diameter: confirm the pump fits your well casing.
4. Solar or battery: a solar-direct pump fills a storage tank during the day; add a battery kit if you need water at night or on cloudy days.
