Take control of your home energy with a powerful Sol-Ark 15K hybrid solar kit designed for Canadian homes.
This package combines 24 Canadian Solar 620W bifacial TOPCon panels, one Sol-Ark 15K-2P hybrid inverter and two GSL 14.34kWh LiFePO4 batteries. Together, they provide 14.88kW of solar capacity and 28.68kWh of nominal battery storage.
The system can be professionally configured for grid-connected solar, whole-home or essential-load backup, time-of-use energy management, generator support and properly engineered off-grid applications.

Final equipment quantities, conductor lengths, breaker or fuse ratings, connectors, enclosures and labels are confirmed during engineering. Additional materials required by unusual site conditions are supplied only when included in the written quotation.
Whole-Home Energy Management
The Sol-Ark 15K automatically manages energy from the solar array, batteries, utility grid and an optional compatible generator.
During daylight hours, solar energy can power household loads while charging the battery bank. Stored energy can then be used after sunset, during peak electricity-rate periods or when utility service is interrupted.
The inverter supports whole-home electrical integration, but actual backup coverage depends on the home’s electrical loads and battery settings. Electric heating, EV chargers, water heaters, air conditioners, pumps, ranges and other large appliances require a professional load assessment.
High-Output Canadian Solar Panels
The included Canadian Solar TOPBiHiKu6 modules use N-type bifacial TOPCon technology and deliver 620W of rated front-side power per panel.
Their bifacial construction can collect additional light from the rear surface when installed with appropriate clearance and reflective ground conditions. Actual bifacial production depends on mounting height, panel angle, spacing, snow coverage and ground reflectivity.
Panel features include:
- 23% module efficiency for the specified 620W model
- Operating-temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Manufacturer-specified snow load up to 5,400 Pa
- Manufacturer-specified wind load up to 4,000 Pa
- 12-year product warranty, subject to manufacturer terms
- 30-year linear performance warranty, subject to manufacturer terms
Cold-Climate Solar Design
The recommended array configuration uses three strings of eight panels, with one string connected to each independent Sol-Ark MPPT.
Each string provides approximately 4,960W of solar capacity, 329.6V operating voltage and 387.2V open-circuit voltage under standard test conditions.
This configuration provides additional voltage safety margin for cold Canadian temperatures. Final string sizing must be verified using the official minimum design temperature for the installation location.
Expandable LiFePO4 Battery Storage
Two GSL wall-mounted batteries provide 28.68kWh of nominal energy storage.
Based on the supplied battery specification, the battery bank provides approximately 27.25kWh of recommended discharge energy at 95% depth of discharge. Practical AC energy will be slightly lower after accounting for inverter losses and reserve settings.
Battery features include:

The batteries should be installed in an appropriate indoor location. Their specified charging-temperature range begins at 0°C, so they must not be charged when battery temperature is below freezing.
Estimated Backup Duration
After allowing for typical conversion losses, the battery bank may provide approximately 25kWh of practical AC energy.
Estimated backup times are:
- Approximately 25 hours at a continuous 1kW load
- Approximately 12 hours at a continuous 2kW load
- Approximately 5 hours at a continuous 5kW load
- Approximately 2.5 hours at a continuous 10kW load
These examples are estimates, not guaranteed runtimes. Actual performance depends on battery state of charge, reserve settings, temperature, inverter efficiency and the appliances operating at the time.

Utility interconnection and net-metering limits vary by province, territory and electricity provider. Purchasing this system does not guarantee approval to export its full output to the grid.
Generator Integration
The Sol-Ark 15K includes integrated two-wire generator-start control. A compatible generator can be added to support extended outages, low-solar periods or off-grid operation.
Generator sizing, wiring, neutral and grounding configuration, fuel system and automatic-start compatibility must be confirmed during the final system design. The generator and its installation are not included unless specifically added to the written quotation.
Freight, Installation and Final Engineering
This is a large, palletized system. Freight arrangements, delivery access, unloading requirements and any destination-dependent charges are confirmed before shipment. Installation, permits, utility applications, engineering stamps, racking, trenching and site-specific electrical work are not included unless they appear in the written quotation.
Final design and installation must be completed or approved by qualified professionals in accordance with applicable Canadian electrical requirements, utility rules and the local authority having jurisdiction. Array string sizing, conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, grounding, rapid-shutdown layout and equipment compatibility must be confirmed for the installation location.
