FAQ

Do I need an electrician?
For a permanent connection to a building's or RV's AC panel, we recommend a licensed electrician. Local code may require one.

What battery bank do I need?
At full 3000W the inverter draws about 280A from a 12V battery. Plan on at least 200Ah of LiFePO4 with a BMS rated for 250A+ continuous. For long runs at high load, 300–400Ah is better.

What cable and fuse should I use?
The included 2 ft 4 AWG cable suits moderate loads. For sustained use near the full 3000W, we recommend upgrading to 4/0 AWG cable for runs under about 1.5 m, with a 350–400A Class T or ANL fuse within 18 cm of the battery positive. Your installer will confirm sizing for your run length.

Can it switch to shore power automatically?
Not on its own; there's no built-in transfer switch. Pair it with an automatic transfer switch to switch between shore or grid power and battery power automatically.

How much power does it use when idle?
About 15W with nothing plugged in. Over 24 hours that's roughly 30Ah from a 12V battery, so switch it off when you're not using AC power.

Does it charge my batteries?
No. It's an inverter only. Pair it with a solar charge controller, a DC-DC charger or a shore charger.
