What is included in this 6kW off-grid solar kit?

The package includes one Growatt SPE6000US inverter, ten Canadian Solar 450W panels, a solar panel-to-inverter PV cable set, a Wi-Fi monitoring module and equipment documentation. Batteries and installation materials are separate unless specifically quoted.

Does this kit include a battery?

No. Battery storage is sold separately. Choose a compatible 48V battery bank with enough capacity for your runtime and enough discharge power for your appliances.

Why is the inverter rated at 6kW but the panels at 4.5kW?

This pairing keeps the starting cost lower while giving you extra capacity for appliances that need more power. The 4.5kW solar array provides daytime energy, while a suitably sized battery bank—sold separately—can help supply larger loads up to the inverter’s 6kW rating. You can also expand the solar array later within the inverter’s limits.

Can this system power my entire home?

That depends on your appliances and energy use. The kit can support suitable loads within its inverter and battery limits, but electric heating, large motors and multiple appliances running together may need a larger system. Ask for a load assessment before choosing.

Does the SPE6000US provide both 120V and 240V power?

Yes. The included inverter supplies 120/240V split-phase power for suitable household loads. The 6kW rating is total inverter capacity; each 120V leg and appliance starting surge must also be checked.

Can this single-inverter kit supply three-phase power?

No. This package contains one inverter for 120/240V split-phase service. A three-phase setup requires a separately designed multi-inverter configuration and additional equipment.

How should the ten panels be connected?

The planned setup is two strings of five panels. Connect the five panels in each string in series, then connect one string to MPPT 1 and the other to MPPT 2. Final installation still requires the site-specific cold-voltage and inverter input-current checks.

Can I add a generator?

Yes, the inverter supports a compatible generator input. A generator can provide another energy source when solar production or stored battery energy is limited. The generator is sold separately and must be sized and connected for the installation.

How long will the batteries last overnight?

Runtime depends on usable battery capacity, the appliances running and system losses. This package includes no battery, so it has no fixed backup runtime. Share your overnight loads with ROCKSOLAR for battery sizing.

Are the Canadian Solar 450W panels bifacial?

No. The TOPHiKu6 All-Black panels in this kit are non-bifacial N-type TOPCon panels. Ten panels provide 4,500W of rated solar capacity without a rear-side power bonus.

Will the kit work in Canadian winter weather?

The panels are designed for demanding outdoor conditions, subject to their mounting requirements. Snow and shorter days reduce generation. Keep the inverter in a suitable dry indoor location within its -10°C to +50°C operating range, and follow the battery's temperature limits.

Is Wi-Fi monitoring included?

Yes. The listed ROCKSOLAR package includes a Wi-Fi monitoring module. Check your internet coverage and setup requirements at the installation location.

Can I sell electricity back to the grid?

Do not assume this off-grid kit is approved for utility export or net metering. Export requires suitable approved equipment, utility permission and a compliant installation. Ask ROCKSOLAR about a grid-tied package if export is your priority.

Can I expand the system later?

Yes. You can add more compatible solar panels to generate more energy or add compatible batteries for longer overnight use. Can I install this off-grid solar kit myself?
