Description
The APsmart RSD-S-PLC is a module-level rapid shutdown device for solar PV arrays. It maintains normal operation while receiving a power-line communication (PLC) heartbeat from a compatible APsmart Transmitter-PLC and initiates rapid shutdown when that signal is lost.
Key features
- SunSpec rapid shutdown signaling; designed to support NEC 690.12 rapid shutdown requirements (2017, 2020, and 2023 editions).
- 20 A maximum continuous input current and 25 A maximum short-circuit current.
- 10.5-80 V DC input and output operating range.
- MC4 input connectors, mounting brackets, and NEMA Type 6P / IP68 enclosure.

System requirement: A compatible APsmart Transmitter-PLC or inverter with an integrated SunSpec-certified rapid shutdown transmitter is required for operation. Transmitter and inverter are separate equipment.
