The Growatt WIT 50-150K-XHU-US is a 277/480V three-phase commercial hybrid solar inverter for solar PV, high-voltage battery storage and backup power. Choose your WIT XHU-US model

Rated backup output and continuous battery charging/discharging power follow the selected model's rated power, subject to battery voltage, current and system conditions. The series supports a DC/AC ratio of up to 2.0; the 150kW model is limited to 250kW of PV power.

Solar, battery and generator system design

The WIT XHU-US platform supports commercial solar self-consumption, battery storage and backup applications for facilities such as warehouses, farms, manufacturing sites and commercial buildings. Select compatible high-voltage batteries and size the system against the site's service voltage, demand profile and required backup loads.

PV and battery voltage must be coordinated: Growatt specifies that the maximum open-circuit voltage of the PV string must be lower than the nominal voltage of the connected battery system. The inverter's 1000V PV limit alone does not establish a suitable string design. Battery charge/discharge power is also constrained by the 200A current limit and operating voltage.

Generator integration, black start and backup operation require the appropriate batteries, controls and electrical design. The listed safety functions include AFCI, anti-islanding, insulation monitoring, ground-fault monitoring and Type II AC/DC surge protection. The datasheet lists standards including UL 1741 SA/SB, IEEE 1547 and CSA C22.2 No. 107; confirm the supplied unit's certifications and the project's utility requirements.
