12V inverter/charger for RV shore power and battery backup
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V combines a pure sine wave inverter, a 120A battery charger and a 50A transfer switch for North American RV and mobile power systems. Its 3000VA inverter delivers 2400W continuously at 25°C, with 5500W peak power for starting demanding loads.
Shore power, generator and battery operation
Connect a 120/240V split-phase AC supply to pass power through both legs, or use a single-phase 120V supply. When external AC power is unavailable, the inverter supplies 120V to loads on both L1 and L2. 240V loads operate only when a 120/240V split-phase AC source is connected; this unit does not produce 240V from the battery in standalone inverter mode.
Key features
- PowerControl: set an AC input current limit so battery charging uses available shore or generator capacity.
- PowerAssist on L1: supplement limited external AC power with battery power during short demand peaks.
- Two AC outputs: the main output supports battery-backed loads; the auxiliary output operates only with external AC power.
- Fast transfer: less than 18ms on L1 and approximately 40ms on L2.
- System integration: VE.Bus supports monitoring and compatible parallel configurations.
- Optional monitoring: add a GX device for VRM remote monitoring, or a VE.Bus Smart dongle for Bluetooth. Monitoring accessories are sold separately.
