What does the 24kW system rating mean?
The package includes two 12kW Growatt inverters, giving a combined inverter rating of 24kW. This is different from the 16.2kW solar-array rating and the battery storage capacity. Actual available output depends on the configuration and power sources.

Should I choose two, four or six GSL batteries?
Two batteries provide 28.68kWh of nominal storage, four provide 57.36kWh, and six provide 86.04kWh. Larger packages store more energy and reduce the load on each battery when properly configured. Choose around both your runtime and power requirements.

Can the two-battery option provide 24kW from batteries alone?
No. Two GSL batteries cannot support 24kW continuous battery-only AC output. Four- and six-battery options offer greater battery capability, but the final continuous output must still be checked against battery limits and installation conditions.

Does this system support split-phase and three-phase power?
The two Growatt SPE 12000US inverters can be configured for 120/240V split-phase or a supported three-phase arrangement. Your installer must confirm voltage, available power on each phase and equipment compatibility. The configurations are not interchangeable without setup changes.

How long will the batteries power my home?
Runtime depends on average household demand and available battery energy. At the same load, more storage generally means longer operation between charges. A realistic estimate needs your appliance list, usage schedule and desired reserve level.

Are the Canadian Solar panels suitable for harsh weather?
The thirty-six 450W panels have published weather ratings subject to correct mounting, and matching panel construction has passed independent 50mm hail testing. Winter generation still depends on daylight and snow cover. The GSL batteries require protected indoor installation.

Can a generator provide backup during long cloudy periods?
A compatible generator can provide another source of energy when solar production and stored charge are insufficient. It does not automatically guarantee continuous 24kW output. Generator sizing and connection are part of installation planning.

What else is needed to install this kit?
Solar-panel racking is not included. Additional wiring, protected battery distribution and safety equipment may be required. Confirm the final accessory schedule, battery communication compatibility and installation requirements before ordering.
