SS-90K-NA/EX Outdoor Cabinet BESS

Using this system in our small manufacturing plant in Ontario. It slices peak demand charges by shifting loads to stored energy, especially in afternoon peaks. Plenty of PV input room.

We started with one module, and later paralleled a second to double capacity. The design allowed for clean install and wiring. The PV input flexibility was a major plus.

Overall this BESS delivers excellent output. Our only note is that when the battery chamber’s 5 kW AC cooling kicks in, there is a distinct hum. Understandable, but worth planning for in acoustic sensitive areas.

We installed the SS‑90K outdoors near a remote cottage in British Columbia. It handles winter cold well (down to ‑15 °C), and during storms the backup kicks in without hiccups. The forced air cooling works even under load.

We needed a cabinet with serious IP/NEMA protection for our outdoor telecom site. This unit lives up to the IP54/NEMA 3R claims. Even when temperatures go over 45 °C or during heavy rains, it's held up.
