Pump elevation to psi calculation

To calculate PSI from pump elevation (height of water), you multiply the elevation in feet by 0.433. This is because one foot of water exerts a pressure of approximately 0.433 PSI. Alternatively, you can divide the elevation in feet by 2.31 to get the pressure in PSI.

Formula:
PSI = Feet of Head * 0.433 and PSI = Feet of Head / 2.31.
Example:
If you have ROCKSOLAR 0.4HP Submersible pump pushing water up a vertical height (head) of 131 feet, the pressure in PSI would be: 131 feet * 0.433 PSI/foot = 56.72PSI and 131 feet / 2.31 = 56.72 PSI.
